Founded in 2018, Anaphite has grown from a novel chemistry discovery to a world leading innovator in dry coating technology. With climate-tech focused investment and strong government support, we have grown into an experienced organisation that is proud to pave the way for lower-cost, greener battery manufacturing.

2019
Anaphite starts applying materials to electrodes for Lithium-ion cells, following a successful grant funded project.

2021
By 2021, Anaphite is focusing soley and working on batteries. We successfully secure £2.7 million in seed funding to progress.

With a business case, key IP and patents for dry coating, Anaphite raises £4.1m in seed-plus funding.

2022
We open the Scale-up Facility and the team grows. Joe Stevenson joins Anaphite as our CEO.

2023
By 2023, Anaphite has built the technical and business cases to focus entirely on applying our technology to dry coating for electrode manufacture.

2024
Anaphite closes its Series A funding round, raising £10.4 million, with lead investment from climate-impact driven funds.

2025
The scale-up facility grows! Anaphite takes over the adjacent buildings to triple our footprint, increasing space for an additional dry room, cell testing area and to accommodate industrialisation equipment.
