The Cells & Electrodes team

Anaphite’s Cells and Electrodes team assess the suitability of DCP® formulations for electrode formation and processing, and analyse their electrochemical performance. This ensures that DCP® products designed for specific customer requirements meet or exceed expectations and verifies that our DCP® products are suitable for scaled production of high-quality electrodes.

This capability provides essential data to feedback into our Product Development and Industrialisation teams, to continuously improve our products and solve customer’s dry coating scaling challenges before they arise.

  • Characterisation Characterisation
  • Electrode Production Electrode Production
  • Cell Testing Cell Testing
  • Material Characterisation Array

A range of equipment and techniques for powder morphology and rheology, along with mechanical testing and a suite of microscopy, allow us to characterise and target properties of DCP® powders.

  • Process Capabilities

Multiple mixing technologies are available for development including capability to create dry mixes and solvent-based slurries for benchmarking against industry-standard techniques.

  • Electrode Production Technologies

A 57m², ≤ –50°C dew point dry room and several electrode film-forming technologies for dry electrode production, including free-standing and film-transfer processes.

  • Cell testing suite

A second 25m₂ , ≤ –55°C dry room dedicated to coin and pouch cell fabrication. A dedicated lab for cell testing with over 600 channels, all climate-chamber controlled, 100 of which have EIS for advanced electrochemical characterisation.
