The Chemistry & Process Development Teams

Chemistry sits at the heart of Anaphite’s business. The Chemistry Team works closely with customers to design new DCP® products and conducts R&D into applying Anaphite’s technology platform for dry coating in emerging technologies, such as solid-state batteries and silicon anodes. Once a DCP® powder has been designed, the Process Development Team devises the methods to produce it at scale and tests that it can be reliably made.

Working closely with our Application & Validation and Industrialisation teams, the department is informed by comprehensive data and insights to make sure our products meet specification, and the processes to make them are competitive.

  • Rapid Discovery & Optimisation

Through high-throughput synthesis, automated testing, and advanced data-driven modelling, the team rapidly discover and optimise advanced materials for next-generation lithium-ion and solid-state batteries, and identify compounds that enhance energy density, cycle life, and thermal stability. They translate complex electrochemical insights into tangible material breakthroughs.

  • Advanced Process Development

Anaphite’s Chemistry team isn’t limited to lab-scale innovation. They specialise in developing scalable and reproducible manufacturing processes, translating research materials into high-quality DCP® products. ready for pilot and industrial production.

  • Electrochemical & Mechanistic Characterisation

Comprehensive electrochemical and structural characterisation expertise, that integrates advanced analytical tools (such as XRD, SEM, TGA, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy) with mechanistic modelling. With this, the team uncover the fundamental relationships between materials and electrodes, guiding formulation improvements and performance optimisation.
